Annual Fibroid Treatment Programme

Women are the mothers and pillars of society. The notion that when a woman is trained, a nation is tremendously enhanced, holds much water of sense, going by their critical roles in the production and upbringing of children, the leaders of tomorrow!

Our organization shares in the pain and sorrow of victims of fibroid. We consider the medical condition as a viable threat to Nigeria's economic development, going by its ability to discount the country's population growth-rate.

As our way of facilitating the resolution of this dangerous problem, we run an annual treatment programme to help victims of this reproductive health challenge out of their situation. A describably obdurate tumor, fibroid denies women the joy of child-birth and consequently put whole families in sorrow! Our organization provides easily affordable opportunities for the treatment of victims.

About Fibroid

• Fibroids are tumours that sometimes grow as large as a melon in the uterus (i.e. the womb).

• They are benign (i.e. non-cancerous) and are made-up of muscle-fibres that press against vital reproductive organs as they grow.

• Fibroid tumours tend to shrink after menopause, having effectively tormented the reproductive years of their victims.

Our Essential Fibroid Treatment Activities

• Routine inspection of hospitals and other relevant health facilities.
• Careful selection of 1,000 women (victims) for the treatment process.
• Launch of free fibroid enlightenment handbook written in the three major Nigerian languages. Provision of free medical tests.

• Provision of free medication pack to victims.

• Holding of fund-raising ceremony to increase the resource-capacity and the general efficiency of the project.

• Special launch of tickets and raffle-draws for the ceremony.

• Activation and sustenance of a nation-wide fibroid treatment campaign.

Treatment Qualification Criteria

• Pick-up a teller/form and free raffle tickets for N3,000 at designated sales outlets.

• Fill and submit form.

• Pick-up a complementary package and referral card (for free test and scan).

Special Itenerary

• Visits to various High Commisioners and Ambassadors,as well as to wel-meaning Nigerians in the diaspora.

• Courtesy visits to the Governors of the 36 States of the Nigerian Federation and their respective First Ladies.

• Courtesy visits to traditional rulers and other eminent Nigerians.

• Launch of special event souvernirs.

• Holding of a special musical concert involving popular Nigerian and foreign artistes, as well a broad bevy of beauty queens from within and outside Nigeria.

 

Schedule

The coming 2011 Experience

• Sales of forms for next year's treatment campaign commences in the month of August 2010 and closes in the month of February 2011.

• Pre-treatment preparations will start in the month of March 2011 and will end in the month of July 2011.

• Treatment-proper will commence in the month of August 2011 and will end in the month of January 2012.
