SCOPE

 

Pre-Adult Affairs Organization (PAAO) strives to actualize its vision within the follwing activity-contexts:

  • Vocational Skills Acquisition (VOSA)
  • Rehabilitation/ Family Integration Services (RFIS)

  • Pre-Adult Programme Support Scholarship Scheme (PAPS Scheme)

OUR VOCATIONAL SKILLS ACQUISITION (VOSA) DEPARTMENT


Vocational Skill Acquisition (VOSA) Department is a department where young people ranging from secondary/high school graduates, school drop-outs, University graduates, less privileged youths and widows are trained to be competent in diverse vocational skills and special trade.

Our VOSA Department offers a minimum of three (3) months training and a maximum of two (2) years.


There are eleven (11) units under Vocational Skill Acquisition (VOSA) Department:

  • Automobile Engineering Unit
  • Personal Finance/Accounts Management Unit
  • Carpentry/Joinery Unit
  • Fashion/Creative Designs Unit
  • Agricultural/Livestock Production Unit
  • Catering/Hotel Management Unit
  • Building/Construction (Masonry, Plumbing, Electrical, Painting, etc.) Unit
  • Information/Communication Technology Unit
  • Structural Steelwork Unit
  • Cosmetology/Total Beauty Unit
  • Interpersonal Communication Skill/ Public Relation Unit

Vocational Skill Acquisition (VOSA) Department is managed by a Chief Coordinating Officer (CCO) who is assisted by Unit Programme Officers. Each Unit Programme Officer is assisted by two Youth Volunteers for effective coordination.
There are thirty-three (36) personnel working in the VOSA Department.

 

REHABILITATION/FAMILY INTEGRATION SERVICES (RFIS) DEPARTMENT

This department provides succor to victims of broken homes and domestic violence. Displaced persons, freshly freed prisoners and people who have taken a right turn from drug addiction and other immoral acts are also catered for by this department.

The department also manages complex behavioral situations and facilitates the development of special programs for children, youths and widows with additional needs.

It also responds to problems and complaints from children, youths and widows in communities. In addition, the department supports parents and guardians in the performance of their parenting roles, and provides mentoring to the children, youth and widows.

This department has five (5) units:

  • Counseling Unit
  • Outreach Unit
  • Legal Aid Unit
  • Health Unit
  • Distress/Emergency Calls Unit

The Rehabilitation/Family Integration Services (RFIS) Department is managed by a Chief Coordinating Officer (CCO) who is assisted by Unit Programme Officers. Each unit programme officer is supported by two Youth Volunteers.


There are eighteen (18) Personnel working in this department.

REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH CARE (RHC) DEPARTMENT

This department takes care of the reproductive health challenges of women. It also provides sex education and special career and social counselling.

The department has a unit that is dedicated to the treatment of fibroid. This unit is equipped to the international standard.

The Reproductive Health Care Department has three (3) units:

  • Counseling Unit
  • Outreach Unit
  • Fibroid Treatment Unit

The reproductive health care department is managed by a Chief Coordinating Officer (CCO) who finds support in the competence of a number of Unit Programme Officers. Each unit programme officer is assisted by two Youth Volunteers.

There are 16 personnel working in this department.

Expatriates, Medical Doctors and Medical Consultants are involved in day to day activities of Reproductive Health Care department.

PRE-ADULT PROGRAMME SUPPORT SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME (PAPS SCHEME DEPARTMENT)

This scheme was put together to give opportunity to “qualified” pre-adults to fulfill their dreams with the use of substantial educational funds. These scholarship funds are made available to young people who have distinguished themselves in their different academic pursuits and sports activities. The funds are also designed for supporting special talents at secondary school and university levels.

There are four (4) units under PAPS-Scholarship Scheme department:

  • Career Choice & Prospects Unit
  • Guidance & Counseling Unit
  • International Exchange Programme Unit
  • Scholarship Funds Disbursement Unit

PAPS Scholarship Scheme Department is managed by a Chief Coordinating Officer (CCO) who is assisted by Unit Programme Officers. Each unit programme officer is supported by two (2) Youth Volunteers for effectiveness.
There are Fifteen (15) Personnel working in the PAPS Scholarship Scheme Department.

 

ROTATIONAL LOAN WITHOUT INTEREST (ROLWIN)

This is department is for satisfying small-scale business development needs of pre-adults, less-privileged widows, as well as orphans.

Beneficiaries are expected to have successfully graduated from the Pre-Adult Programme Support Centers (PAPS-Centers). The loan is made available for a minimum period of one-year and for a maximum period of two years.

There are two (2) units in the ROLWIN Department:

  • Fund Monitoring Unit
  • Financial Advisory Unit

This department is overseen by a Chief Coordinating Officer and two (2) Unit Programme Officers that are backed by a team of professionals in the banking/finance industry, in addition to two Youth Volunteers per unit.

The total number of Personnel working under ROLWIN Department, excluding the team of professionals, is nine (9).

 

ADMIN/ACCOUNTS DEPARTMENT

Our Admin/Accounts Department is responsible for general Administration and accounting operations. The department also oversees the personnel and data management responsibilities of all the departments in Pre-Adult Programme Support Centres (PAPS-Centres).

There are 8 personnel working in this department namely:

  • Admin Manager
  • Assistant Admin Manager
  • Account Manager
  • Assistant Account Manager
  • Four (4) Youth Volunteers

 

INFORMATION, EDUCATION & COMMUNICATION DEPARTMENT (IEC)

This department is responsible for PAPS-Center's Pubic Relations activities. It organizes seminars, conferences, workshops, television/radio programmes, press briefing/press conference, resource materials and a special library.

Aside from being the veritable image-maker of the organization, the department also serves as a training unit for four young people in Information Technology (IT).


There are four (4) Personnel working in this department namely:

    • Chief Coordinating Officer (CCO-IEC)
    • Assistant Chief Coordinating Officer
    • Two Youth Volunteers
