WORDS OF WISDOM
SPEECH PRESENTED BY CHIEF SANDRA C. DURU, FOUNDER AND EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, PRE-ADULT AFFAIRS ORGANISATION (P.A.A.O.) ON OCCASION OF P.A.A.O DONATION OF FOOD ITEMS AND CASH TO LITTLE SAINT ORPHANAGE HOME, PALM-GROVE, LAGOS STATE ON SUNDAY, JULY 16, 2006.

The Executive Director of Little Saint Orphanage Home,
Invited Guests,
Ladies and Gentlemen,
Members of the Press
And the orphans of this home,

Permit me to begin my brief speech by saying this quote. “What lies ahead of us and what lies behind us are nothing compared to what lies inside us”.

It is with great pleasure I make this speech in the presence of everyone present here not only because history is being made, but because I want us all to realize that even amidst the chaos and confusion of some of our leaders in this country, we still have people and organizations that are interested in our children especially the orphans and the less privileged.

I would have loved to come in person but at present, I am out of the country precisely in the United States and will be back today. I was informed about this event yesterday and I had to fax this message to my organization, getting members of staff to make this speech on my behalf and making these donations because I believe in these young ones. The Pre-Adult Affairs Organization is solidly behind you. We care and we express our love in very practical ways as we present our donation of food and money to this orphanage.

I want to make a passionate appeal to other bodies such as Non-Government Organizations, Corporate Organizations, the Government and well meaning individuals to always assist and encourage these young ones. They are tomorrow’s leaders. They are the future of this country. We need to build them, equip them, care for them and show unpolluted love to them. Let’s not forget the ancient saying that whatever you sow, that you will reap.

We are using this medium to invite everyone to the launching of our Five Billion Naira Fund Raising Dinner for the Pre-Adult Programme Support Centres in the six (6) geo-political zones of the federation.. Our plans are well laid. We are set to take charity work to the next level. With our Vocational Skill Training (VOST) Acquisition department, Pre-Adult Programme Scholarship Scheme (PAPS-Scheme), Family Integration Services Unit, and others. Come one, come all and lets join hands to make life enjoyable for our needy, indigent and hungry young people.

Children, I love you all, stay away from trouble, obey those in authority and pray always.

Long live Little Saint Orphanage
Long live Pre-Adult Affairs Organization
Long live The Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Thank you.
Words of Wisdom
"Life pays a man exactly what he has earned." When we take this truth home and believe
it, we have turned a big corner on the road to success.

The only way to obtain power is to forget about power itself and use the will to pursue the
principle of power. As long as you want power you cannot have it.
PRESENTED BY CHIEF SANDRA C. DURU, FOUNDER AND EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, PRE-ADULT AFFAIRS ORGANISATION (P.A.A.O.), MD/CEO SANCHHY (NIG) LTD ON OCCASION OF WORLD ELDERS' DAY 2009.

It is good to be old but painful to be neglected. I wish to grow old and be well taken care of by my children and loved ones . Please take care of your old people irrespective of their behaviours. "Remember! You will get old one day."
WORDS OF CHIEF SANDRA C. DURU ON A SICKBED ON 2ND OCTOBER 2009

Chief Sandra C. Duru died and God saved her life.

NOBODY SHOULD CRY FOR ME! I am not dead! Have you all forgotten Psalm 118 verse 17 and 18? "I shall not die but live and declare the works of the Lord." The Lord has chastened me severely, but He has not given me over to death!...I must live.
